Shutdown, Restart or Log off Automatically at Session Termination

In many cases, it is a good idea to define what happens both to the thin client and the remote machine when a session is terminated.

You can configure your IGEL Linux thin client to log off, shutdown or reboot automatically when a session is terminated:

The following instructions are valid for IGEL Linux version 5.10.100. For lower versions, the menu paths and the features may differ.

  1. Open the setup and go to System > Firmware Customization > Custom Commands > Post Session.
  2. In the Session type menu, select the session type after whose termination the action should take place.
  3. In the Post Session Command menu, select the desired action:

The Logoff option cannot be used if the Appliance Mode is in use.

  4. Click Apply or OK.

For further information, see the Post Session chapter in the manual.
